So, I loved this pedal before I'd ever even played it. I just knew that I'd love it, what I didn’t know, was how much.
I've added some QOL improvements for my giant troll foot in the form of pedal feet, so I can reliably hit the right oct I want to hit. If I was gonna complain about anything, it might be that...the oct1 and 2 are a little bit close together.
The actual sounds of the pedal? Incredible. Absolutely incredible 😲 it's become a staple of my pedal board. I legitimately don't want to jam without it.
Do you like noise? Do you like ear splitting dissonance? Do you like sick riffs? Well my brother in christ, look no further.
But seriously this pedal is really cool. I sold my Digitech Whammy pedal to fund this one and I don't regret it at all. THIS is the sound I was looking for when I bought the Whammy pedal. I've already spent several hours playing around with the panic and chaos knobs to see what kind of tones I can get and it's been a blast.
I like that depending on how you dial in the sound, you can still maintain note definition while pitch shifting or if you're so inclined, you can turn your guitar into an atonal symphony of dying chipmunks which is, like, hella bad ass.
AF. Was unsure if I was buying this as a gimmick/hype but it's really usable. As apposed to "the cutter" You can tell that they put alot of thought in the deaign and function along with making it usef friendly. There's not a bad setting and encourages experimentation.
To my surprise, on my low open B string, with the right settings, my guitar momentarily sounds like the low voKILLS on "Bless the Martyr and kiss the child" when the low octave switch is engaged. Aside from the demos, as a guitarist you can definitely dial in metal screams. I had no idea this would happen and it's the greatest thing ever.
Running this in the "layers" and "cloudburst" just makes a insane symphony of dissonance.
I dont think there is anything else like this pedal and creative potential is seemingly limitless.
My only issue now is that I want to buy all the Tallon pedals. Do you guys offer teacher/pro guitarist discounts??? ... jk
Anyways, wtf, this sh** is perfect. Please no one enjoy this photo of me and not of the pedal to verify that I am not a robot or fake review.
Bought from the UK so took a couple of weeks to arrive, very easy to setup on my pedalboard and sounding absolutely gross. I've barely scratched the surface with it, but it's very easy to play around with and any setting seemingly creates a ridiculous sound which I've previously had in my head but never been able to recreate. Very happy with the build quality, shout out to the alpha wolf boys for conceiving of such a ridiculous pedal, worth every penny!
